My Other Blog

  • People Sales: My other blog is all about sales and social media, and how the integration of the two promotes successful customer relationships.  Sometimes I write about other career-related topics as well.  My posts sometimes have a “What This Means for Gen Y Professionals” slant, but most of the subject matter is pretty widely applicable.

Dungeons and Dragons

  • Dungeon Mastering: This is perhaps the best known D&D blog around.  It is frequently updated with extremely high quality content, and I am definitely a fan.
  • Troll in the Corner: An excellent blog and community for everyone who loves games of all types, comic books, independent films, and fantasy/science fiction.  The gaming portion is great: tons of news, tips, and information about roleplaying games, card games, board games, and video games.
  • Wizards of the Coast Staff Blogs: Straight from the dragon’s mouth, here is a ton of useful information from the guys who are cooking up new D&D magic in the lab everyday.
  • Tinker’s Pack: This is a startup game design studio working on a campaign world that is designed from the get-go to be fully customized to your specific needs.  This is the Web 2.0 of campaign settings, and it’s called The Shattered Kingdoms.

Social Media/Career

  • Brazen Careerist: “We’re a community of top Gen Y thought leaders, forward-thinking organizations and everyone else who realizes that the way we define ourselves in both work and in life needs to change.”—Brazen Careerist ‘About’ page
  • WorkLoveLife: Holly Hoffman talks about her adventures as a young professional, and all the strings that come attached to them.
  • Kyle Lacy: This guy is one of the most involved social media guru’s I have ever seen.  His whole world is social media-related creativity.  He’s a fellow member of Brazen Careerist.
  • Penelope Trunk: One of the most out-of-the-box career/entrepreneurship writers out there today.  Penelope uses unconventional thinking and straightforward language to talk truth about work and life.
